Welcome to Minneflora 🌸

Hello world! We’re Minneflora—a woman-owned business rooted right here in Minnesota. I’m Lucy, the owner, photographer, and dreamer behind this little shop, and I’m so glad you’ve found your way here.

Why open a shop?

Alongside my career in communications and marketing, photography has always been a constant in my life. My camera roll is full of flowers, gardens, and quiet outdoor moments that bring me peace. For years, those photos just lived on hard drives and memory cards—but no more!

This all started when I moved into a new home and wanted something on my walls that felt personal and unique. I wasn’t inspired by the generic prints you see in big-box stores—you know the ones. So I began printing my own photos. Friends and family who visited kept asking where I got them, and that spark turned into an idea: maybe these images could bring others the same joy they’ve brought me.

Why these collections?

When it came time to launch, I wanted to begin with a collection that truly meant something to me. For the past decade, Washington, D.C. was home. While Minnesota is in my heart, D.C. shaped me too, and it offered up incredible beauty I’ll never forget.

One of my favorite discoveries was the lotus blossoms at Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens. The first time I saw one in person, I was floored—they’re bigger, bolder, and more breathtaking than I ever imagined. The Fairy in the Lily Pads collection grew out of that experience. These pieces are reflections of that moment, capturing both the serenity and wonder of seeing a lotus blossom up close.

If you ever find yourself in D.C. in the summertime, I can’t recommend the Lotus & Water Lily Festival enough. It’s a celebration of these amazing flowers in full bloom—something I think everyone should see at least once.

Where we’re going 🌿

Minneflora is just getting started, and I can’t wait to grow this little shop into something bigger. From playful Minnesota-themed designs to black-and-white flower studies, each collection will highlight the way nature can ground us, inspire us, and make our homes feel more alive.

Thanks for stopping by and being part of this beginning. I hope the art you find here brings a little bit of the outdoors—and a little bit of joy—into your home.

Stay tuned, there’s so much more blooming ahead.

— Lucy
